.......A MONTH LATER......

Yep! It's been exactly a month since my last post and for that, I apologize. My life got pretty hectic there for a while. Not saying, it's not going to stay that way with WEDDING PLANNING and other stuff going on for the summer! Yep, wedding planning! We set a date - October 3rd. It's going to be AMAZING!
So I do have some shtuff to show you. Just a few things I've done in the last month.

I was really into stamping and coloring right onto kraft cs. What do you think? Each card's image is from Unity Stamp Co.'s May Kit of the Month. Aren't they fab? :D They are all colored with Copics.

This LO didn't quite turn out the way I had wanted, but I think it still works. I did the background, using a stamp from Unity's Delectable Delights set. It took FOREVER to color. I get writer's cramp pretty easily, so I had to stop and take breaks often. :D

Well that is all for now, folks! :D I'm going to try to stamp and blog in the afternoon's each day. We'll see how it goes! Stay tuned!

•Scrappy, scrappy!

Happy Monday morning everybody!

Earlier this week, I submitted for the Unity Scrapbook Design Team! I am still waiting to see if I made it or not, but thought I'd share one of the layouts I did for my submission!First off, I'm going to explain the title, "Where Are Whoo?" The DP I used is Sassafrass Lass and it has an owl theme, so that is where the "whoo" instead of "you" came from. I showed my mom the LO and she asked me about that and so did Kolby when I showed him, so I figured I'd start off by explaining that! :D As for the rest of the LO. The arrow and the journaling card (in the pocket) you see is from Unity's Our Life, Our Stories scrapbooking kit and the tree is from the November Kit of the Month! I colored it with Copics and stamped it on Papertrey Ink's Stamper's Select White CS. I stamped the arrow using Riding Hood Red ink and stamped it on Buttercup CS. I stamped the journaling card in Chocolate Chip ink and it is also stamped on Buttercup CS. I also stamped the Worn Grid Background you see behind the photo onto Buttercup CS and stamped it in Chocolate Chip. I used Chocolate Chip CS for the pocket and Ocean CS for the title! The ribbon you see on the White Daisy Eyelet is from Wal-Mart!

The other LO I used for submission can be seen HERE.

So my next LO is one I did over the weekend. I've been feeling pretty scrappy lately if you can't tell! :D
For this page, I used Sassafrass Lass' Serendipity Paper Packet! I also used this week's sketch from Triple the Sketch! (with a few minor adjustments of my own :D) The base of the page is Kraft CS, I used Unity's Giggle Grove set for the trees at the bottom of the page and the journaling box is from Unity's Sept. Kit of the Month! The journaling reads: "you love going and seeing your Uncle Jarret and Uncle Kyler. You are always so happy and playful when you are with them and they love you so much!" The ric-rac you see is CTMH and you can't tell in the picture, but I stitched on the upper right and lower left hand corners of the page and the pictures!

So that is all I have for now. I have a busy week, as I'm sure most of you do, so I'm not sure how much more I will be posting! But I will be sure and post pictures from Christmas if I don't post before then!

Be sure to go check out what Jess has in store for you this week! She is Unity's Growing in Unity, Day by Day, All Week Long blogger for the week! Check her out and leave her some love everyday!

• HiP hOp HaNgOvEr FrIdAy!

TGIF! UGH! This week drug on for me! I'm so glad it's over!

Did anybody go see Twilight last night? I didn't. I don't even think it was playing at either of our two theaters! NO TELLING! I want to see it so badly. I am hoping that when it does get here, Kolby will go with me. When he asked what I was reading (when I couldn't keep my nose out of the books...I don't read all that much.....) and I explained to him what it was all about, he looked at me like I was losing it! :) TeeHee....so I might need to make a movie date with a girlfriend or something b/c I think it's going to be like pulling teeth to get him there! :)

Oh yeah.....my project. :) This week, I FINALLY did a scrapbook page! I am so proud of myself! I'm not too crazy about the way it turned out, but since it's only my 5th page ever doing, I will give myself SOME credit. AND I used stamps from my FAVORITE stamp company in the whole world! Can you guess which one?!

So here it is. Like I said, I'm not too crazy about it. I think I did too much distressing, or I used too much Pacific Point ink. I should've used black or something...... The title reads, "I'll love you...4ever....." then the journaling says (on the side of the picture) ".....I"ll like you for always...." (on the right side top) "........as long as I'm living....." (right side bottom) "......my baby you'll be...."

Stamps Used: Unity Sept. KOM, Worn Grid Background
Ink: SU! Pacific Point, Copics
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, SU! Rainbow Sherbert DP, Pacific Point CS, Green Galore CS, Blush Blossom CS
Accessories: Cricut and Cartridges, Fabri-Tac, Dimensional Adhesives

Has anyone ever read that book? It's called "Love You Forever." It's a little kid's book, but it was one of my favorites when I was little. If you don't know what I'm talking about....the book talks about....here's a little excerpt:

"The baby grew. He grew and he grew and he grew. He grew until he was two years old, and he ran all around the house. He pulled all the books off the shelves. He pulled all the food out of the refrigerator and he took his mother's watch and flushed it down the toilet. Sometimes his mother would say, "this kid is driving me CRAZY!"

But at night time, when that two-year-old was quiet, she opened the door to his room, crawled across the floor, looked up over the side of his bed; and if he was really asleep she picked him up and rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. While she rocked him she sang:

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be."

Cute, huh? It goes on talking about how he grew and grew and she would go in his room and do the same thing. Then when he is grown, he comes home and she is old and sick and he rocks her and says, "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my MOMMY you'll be....." So that is where I got the idea from. My son is walking now and, as expected, getting into everything! So it really does explain a mother-son relationship. Especially since MOST BOYS are MAMA'S BOYS!

•I'm BaCk!

I didn't go anywhere! I just haven't posted in foreva! But that doesn't mean I haven't been doing something w/ my life! I'm going to be posting A LOT on this post so hold on to your britches and roll w/me!

These are my calendar pags I made for the Bella Calendar Swap! It was so much fun! I used all Bazzill papers except for the K&Co. Berry Sweet Glitter DP! I used my Cricut to cut out the hearts and for the lettering. I have to say. My Cricut and I are getting extremely close!

This is what came in the mail for me the other day! It is from my Bella Sistah, LeAnne! Isn't she amazing!

This is the card I made for the SBS #21 Weekly Challenge! The challenge was paper piecing. I used the MFT Rain or Shine Stamp Set and paper pieced her raincoat! I used CTMH Sweet Pea DP along with Bamboo, Amethyst, Key Lime, and Sunkiss Yellow CS! The ribbon is from Pebbles Inc. and the image is stamped in CTMH Archival Black.

Here is the card I did for the Bella Sketch Challenge #45. I used Imeldabella and colored her w/copics! Yes! I finally broke down and bought some! The sentiment is from the Billboardabella set. I used the Magic Moments B&T and Hollyhock CS for the base.

Speaking of copics.........
Here they are! This is my first set! I have to say...I don't really know how to use them that well, but they do work great! I decided to lay low on some of my stamp ordering and once a month I am going to order around $50 in Copics! That way, I can get my collection going and start doing more things (i.e.shading) with them! So if you have any copic advice for me I would {heart} it..and you, of course!

Yay for me! I FINALLY finished these pages! I have been so hooked on stamping that I haven't done any scrapbooking! I finally decided I needed to finish this.....I started probably 2 months ago! Teehee! So for these pages I used the Rough and Tumble Paper Packet along with some Sunny Yellow and Clover Meadow CS. I used my Cricut to cut all the lettering out and I used a little rub-on that Jena gave me in the middle. I think that was a mistake, but there's not too much I can do about it now. Oh! I forgot my journaling! I guess I am not done with it! :D

Ok...now for some stuff I am SUPER excited about! Recently, I started browsing (and shopping :D) at Unity Stamp Co.! I bought 2 sets from Unity a couple of months ago...and haven't touched them! Well....I was looking around on their website and realized that there's A LOT of things that I like! So I bought a few and went on my merry way! While I was looking around on SCS one day, I saw that Unity has a Wednesday Challenge. I decided that this would be fun to do. So here is my Unity Challenge Wednesday card.

The challenge was to use pink and black. As you can see, I did this card a bit differently. I used the Grow Stamp Kit and I put my sentiment on the outside and my image on the inside. I used Black CS for my base and ran it through my Cuttlebug, using the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. For the "background" I used a piece of Pink Carnation CS and layered a piece of Black CS in the middle, then ran that through my Cuttlebug as well. On the inside I stamped the image on Pink Carnation CS and adhered (word?) it to the top of the inside(?) Both images are stamped in Archival Black.....which reminds me...I need to get Brilliance Graphite Black for when I really start using my Copics!

I got some great feedback from all the Unity peeps! Which sends me to my next story! I've always read on some people's blogs about HIP-HOP THURSDAY. Well...I never really knew what anybody was talking about, so I decided to see what it was like! So, yesterday, I spent pretty much my whole day on the computer talking to all the great Unity people. I have to say...I am now ADDICTED! I had so much fun! Angela is running such a PHENOMENAL business! She was there, her DT was there, her HUSBAND was there! There was a blog hop, prizes were given away, challenges were done! There was so much going on! So all the details are HERE! You really need to check it out if you haven't! So that brings me to my final card. This challenge was to make a card inspired by the Unity tag.

My card Unity tag

So for my card I used Breeze CS and Chocolate Chip CS. I used the Creating Yourself Single and colored it with Chocolate Chip ink then stamped it on Papertrey Ink White CS. I used my small slot punch and ran Pebbles Inc. ribbon through. So the card is pretty simple, but I think it works!

So that is all for right now! I'm sorry I've been such a bad blogger. I always think I am going to slow down and just when I say that, my life picks up again!

I also wanted to say that all the Ike vics are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope everything came out as good as can be expected!

Stay tuned! I am going to try to post everyday, so it doens't take me 500 hours to do one post!

~Peace, Love, and Happy Stamping! :D
