• Etsy Inspired #23 and SCS Sketch Challenge #215

Hey there!
Hope everyone had a great weekend and a fantastic time with their special someone! So I'm in a little bit of a rush, so I'm gonna cut this a little short.

OH! First...I'm sure you are wondering why my blog is full of black and yellow??? It's because in about a week I am leaving for Vegas for the Nascar race!!!! YIPES! I'm sooooo excited!!!!! Anyway....the black and yellow is for my driver....Matt Kenseth! He won the Daytona 500 yesterday (in case any of you care ;)) Ok...back to busines.....

This is my first time participating in Ashley's Etsy Inspired Challenge. It was pretty fun! So here's my card:


So I used Unity's Diva-lish set and Distressed Dots Background. The pink paper is PTI Raspberry Fizz (my fave!) and so is the ribbon! I also used Raspberry Fizz to stamp the image and I embossed the little diva, but the only way you can tell is because she's a little bit darker......so that is it for right now! I might be back later today! :)

• It's Hip Hop Hangover!

That's right...HHH....which means....IT'S FRIDAY! Hooray for Friday! Yesterday I got to Hip-Hop a little bit, but not really last night, so my hangover is gone....bummer....I like being hungover b/c that means I was at Hip-Hop all day! I guess I'll have to try again next week! :D

So..onto the card...here it is!


Ack! It's not the greatest....other than it does use Unity's October KOM. I just can't steer myself away from this kit. It's awesome.Check it out here. Also be sure and check out Unity's new releases. They released over 100 stamps yesterday and have some great deals going on until midnight central tonight! And....since we're on the Unity subject....my girl and Unity owner, Angela is setting up the WORLD'S LARGEST BLOG HOP! Check the details out HERE.

So that is it for my hangover post. I might possibly do another one since I am just not feeling this card.

FINALLY! I am back to my usual stamping addiction and blogging! Yesterday I finally got to put some ink on stamps and this morning I did again!

So here is the card I made yesterday. I used Unity's January Kit of the Month for the main image and the little postage looking dilly...and I used the distressed dots background stamp. Don't you just love Unity? I do! :)

Here is today's creation. I did this for the Unity Addicts Wednesday challenge. The challenge was to make a tiny love note using one image and bright and cheery colors. Ok...I actually used 2 stamps (worn grid & image from Jan. KOM), but you get the idea! :-)

• It's me!

FIRST OFF! CONGRATS TO MY GOOD FRIEND, JENA ON HER NEW BABY BOY! What a surprise it was to get on my computer, go through my 200 and something e-mails and see a beautfiul baby boy on Jena's blog! OH MY GOSH! How exciting!

Ok, 2nd...I've been gone..not gone...but gone from here. We moved into a new house! I am soooo excited! I will be posting pictures later, but wanted to tell you all that I'm not dead or in jail! Things are good! :D

So as soon as I get my internet...yes, you saw it...I don't have internet yet...right now I am going off of someone else's wireless network! Yipes! I feel like a criminal, so I'm trying to make it snappy! :D But...as soon as I get my internet....I will post pictures! :D

TO MY SCS BLOGGER GROUP! I am sooo sorry I haven't been able to comment or on the thread! I'm sure you all are doing some fabulous stuff! Thank you for the comments you have left here on my blog! Once again, as soon as I get internet, you will be the 1st I turn to!

• Thank God it's Friday!

I am sooo ready for the weekend! Know what tomorrow is? It's the mini Virtual Stamp Night (VSN) on SCS! Guess who's a hostess????? Give up????? It's me! :D I get to host the first challenge of the day tomorrow, so come check it out! There are challenges and chat threads every hour until 11:00 PM EST. My challenge is at 12:00 noon EST, so come play with us! It's going to be fun! :D

So yesterday I totally missed my posting for some reason? I don't know why? But I'm back on track, today!
So here is my page for Week 2 of the scripture challenge. The word was "kindness"...if you can't tell! :D I couldn't agree more with this verse. We are children of God. He loves us holy and dearly. Since He loves us soo much, why not act like we are His? Have compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience (something I desperately need to work on). All digi "stuff" is from Shabby Princess.

So these little dudes here are what I used for the Unity Addicts Wednesday Challenge and for Amber's sketch challenge. The Addicts challenge was to make a card, inside and out. This was a really good challenge for me because I don't usually do anything to the insides of my cards, so here is the inside.


Cute, huh? The stamps are from Unity's November Kit of the Month. Aren't they cute? I love these little birds!

• Here kitty, kitty.......and an MFT challenge

So it's been FOREVER since I've inked up any of my Pink Cat Studio stamps.....so I decided to give them a litte love with the Splitcoast sketch challenge.


It's pretty simple really, but isn't this kitty sooo cute?! I don't even like cats, but I love them in rubber! :D I didn't do anything special with the card. Just followed the sketch and colored the kitty in with my Copics!

This next card is for the MFT Sketch Challenge #63.

These sketches are always so good and I finally decided to do one! :D I always saved the sketches, but never had time to do them, so here I am! This is my first one and I'm going to try to keep going with it!

• It's a Bella, baby! :D

YAY! Finally! I got another Bella Sketch Challenge done! This was Bella Sketch Challenge #63!


This beauty is miss javabella! Isn't she so cute? Like my sentiment? LOL. It's the only one I could find that sort of fit the whole java motif....ok...not really java motif, more like beer, but I think it will work :D

Well I have a lot of stuff to do and a couple of other sketch challenges, so I am off! I am now counting down the days until I got to Las Vegas for the Nascar race! As of today, there are 42 days until we leave, but 47 days until the actual race! We leave on Tuesday, stay in Provo, UT on Tuesday night, drive to Mesquite, NV and stay there on Wednesday. On Thursday, we head off to Vegas then set up. When I say set up, I am talking about our camper. We stay right at the track for 4 days! There are 3 other families going, so they set their campers up in like a horseshoe then we park ours next to the horseshoe. So for the whole 4 days we have our little camp area.....let me see if I can find a picture.........

Ok....you can't see our camper it is actually more to the right.....but that is our little camp area! It is soooo much fun. Each family has a night to cook dinner....last year our night was on the night of the race and let me tell ya...either I'm not doing that night again...or we're doing something easy. Last year I cooked spaghetti....it was really good, just too time consuming........so that is what I'm probably going to be mentioning for the next 45 days! LOL!

Oh....I mean CATCH UP! :D I've been stamping and I've been doing digital stuff. I just haven't posted! So bear with me as I show a few things!

This is a digi page I did for the first His Holy Name Challenge, put on by Patter Cross. The word was "holy." How appropriate! :D I decided to participate in these challenges because I am trying to build my relationship with Jesus Christ and become closer to my Saviour. Plus these challenges are going to get me to study my bible more and understand it a lot more. Patter is so inspiring when it comes to her relationship with Jesus and I want to be able to inspire people one day as well. First, I just need to work on getting building my relationship with Him. :D

With that being said, here is Patter's Scripture Challenge for week 1.

Digi "stuff" used: Digi Scrap Boutiqe "Summer" Kit

You know, it's amazing the way Jesus Christ is. Over the past year or so, I had done some really stupid things and some other things happened where I was really beginning to question my faith in Jesus Christ. When Patter first announced when the challenges were beginning, I immediately knew I was going to do the His Holy Name Challenge. I figured the scripture challenge could wait.......UNTIL Jesus told me to peek at the Scripture challenge. The word was "faith." To tell you the truth, I almost wanted to cry because this challenge was so perfect for me! I am sooo glad Jesus Christ told Patter she needed to start with "faith" and I am sooo glad he told me to take a peek! Just in the last week, I tell you, my faith has grown to be 10 x stronger! I am soo excited to keep going with these challenges and understand the Bible and Jesus a lot better!

So onto real life stamping........

This is a card I did for Amber's Sketch Challenge in the Unity forum. I think this was #7, but it was a while ago and I actually did this the same week, I just haven't posted! :D


And here's a card I did, but hate. For a Bella Sketch Challenge on SCS. Once again, I'm not sure what number as it was a long time ago, but I'm wanting to say it was #59. I just love Stella with an Olive on Top. She is too cute. The sketch didn't turn out the way I wanted, so I was gonna re-do, but never got that far! And now I'm behind 3 challenges! :D

This card I done for the Bella Color Challenge last week. The challenge was to use pink, pink, and more pink! I LOVED this challenge as I LOVE pink! :D Once again the card didnt turn out the way I wanted it to, but I have no time to redo! :D


This card I did, yesterday for the My Favorite Things Guest Desinger Challenge. The challenge was to do a one layer card. This was pretty hard for me to grasp as I HAVE to have layers!:D I think I'm gonna go buy that boot, though! I love boots!

I went digital!

Not all-digi, but I am having so much fun figuring this out! So here is my very first digital layout. I got the kit from http://digiscrapboutique.com. It is called the Girls Night Out Kit by Sharia Braxton. The ribbon is from the Sugar Plum Fae 2 Kit. Isn't it too cute?!

•Scrappy, scrappy!

Happy Monday morning everybody!

Earlier this week, I submitted for the Unity Scrapbook Design Team! I am still waiting to see if I made it or not, but thought I'd share one of the layouts I did for my submission!First off, I'm going to explain the title, "Where Are Whoo?" The DP I used is Sassafrass Lass and it has an owl theme, so that is where the "whoo" instead of "you" came from. I showed my mom the LO and she asked me about that and so did Kolby when I showed him, so I figured I'd start off by explaining that! :D As for the rest of the LO. The arrow and the journaling card (in the pocket) you see is from Unity's Our Life, Our Stories scrapbooking kit and the tree is from the November Kit of the Month! I colored it with Copics and stamped it on Papertrey Ink's Stamper's Select White CS. I stamped the arrow using Riding Hood Red ink and stamped it on Buttercup CS. I stamped the journaling card in Chocolate Chip ink and it is also stamped on Buttercup CS. I also stamped the Worn Grid Background you see behind the photo onto Buttercup CS and stamped it in Chocolate Chip. I used Chocolate Chip CS for the pocket and Ocean CS for the title! The ribbon you see on the White Daisy Eyelet is from Wal-Mart!

So my next LO is one I did over the weekend. I've been feeling pretty scrappy lately if you can't tell! :D
For this page, I used Sassafrass Lass' Serendipity Paper Packet! I also used this week's sketch from Triple the Sketch! (with a few minor adjustments of my own :D) The base of the page is Kraft CS, I used Unity's Giggle Grove set for the trees at the bottom of the page and the journaling box is from Unity's Sept. Kit of the Month! The journaling reads: "you love going and seeing your Uncle Jarret and Uncle Kyler. You are always so happy and playful when you are with them and they love you so much!" The ric-rac you see is CTMH and you can't tell in the picture, but I stitched on the upper right and lower left hand corners of the page and the pictures!

So that is all I have for now. I have a busy week, as I'm sure most of you do, so I'm not sure how much more I will be posting! But I will be sure and post pictures from Christmas if I don't post before then!
