• Just For Her

So....
I made this card for a lady in my SU! Yahoo Group. It's actually for her daughter, who has a few disorders. Here is her message:

This is to my real family and all my stamping group families. I am seeking everyone's love, support, and kindness. My 14 year old daughter, Anna, is having some problems, so severe that they have placed her in a hospital. She will be there for 7-14 days. She can receive mail and I am asking that everyone shower her with cards of encouragement, thinking of her, to lift her spirits. She is bi-polar, ADHD, oppositional defiant, aspbergers, sensory integration disorder, intermittent explosive disorder, and some other learning disabilities. She is a very difficult child but I love her so much. My family who is reading this is probably thinking that I am the one in need of prayers and cards but it is her I am thinking of and would love help in sending some sunshine into her day. She had a major episode on Friday and she had to be taken to a maximum security facility for juveniles. A little blue cell until they decided what to do with her, we want her home, she is NOT a juvenile delinquent, she is just a young woman with lots of problems. So, while she is away, I wanted her to be showered with love and kindness, so if you could help me in doing that by sending her a card I would appreciate it so much. I have not ever asked for a special request before but have and continue to send many cards out for anyone who has a special need. The card will have to be sent out in the next day or two to assure that she gets it. The address of where she is :
Lakeland Regional Hospital
Anna Glaser - 4 South
440 South. Market
Springfield, MO 65806

Thank you all so much for your support and help and sending her sunshine. Any prayers you want to offer up would be appreciated also. We need all of them we can get also!!

So today, I am sending this card out to her! As soon as I read this message I thought of Gardenia Gardenthumb. I used Bubblegum, Sunny Yellow, and Breeze CS. In the image, I used those colors and Olive, for the pot and the leaves. I also used soft chalks in the background of the image. Last I used my Bloom Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder for the base. And don't forget about my favorite ribbon ever from Pebbles Inc.! You seriously have to get some! So that is that for that card. Now I am off to work on a SBS 21 sketch and my Riley Swap! Hope you have a great day.

Gorgeous card - so bright and cheerful.
My friends sister is bi-polar so I do understand. I also work in the mental health dept. of our local hospital one day a week and know how heartbreaking it can be for relatives.
I can't send a card to her in hospital - it wouldn't get there in time, but if you email me your home address I will send one to her at home.

Hugs to all of you xxx
