• I can't keep a secret......

HEY THERE!

So, many of you have probably been wondering where the heck I've been? I've been kinda busy with Thanksgiving and catching up on a huge swap. Plus, I'VE BEEN FIGHTING MORNING SICKNESS! Yes, you read right.....last week I found out I am prego. I wasn't going to say anything until I went to the doctor and got my first ultrasound, but I am lame at keeping secrets. So I think I'm around 5 weeks, but my morning sickness just started and it is lasting through the afternoon, not to mention I am exhausted....I thought that part didn't start until waaaay later on? I have to tell you the truth, though. I'm not real excited, yet. I don't know why? It's not that I don't want another kid, but I didn't think it would happen so quickly...... so, obviously it was a huge surprise! Maybe after I go to my first appt. I will be more excited........

Well I do have some stuff to post, but somehow my camera got left on over the weekend, so I have no charged battery, yet.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Mine was ok. I probably gained around 2o pounds, but the food was well worth it! ;)

• HiP hOp HaNgOvEr FrIdAy!

TGIF! UGH! This week drug on for me! I'm so glad it's over!

Did anybody go see Twilight last night? I didn't. I don't even think it was playing at either of our two theaters! NO TELLING! I want to see it so badly. I am hoping that when it does get here, Kolby will go with me. When he asked what I was reading (when I couldn't keep my nose out of the books...I don't read all that much.....) and I explained to him what it was all about, he looked at me like I was losing it! :) TeeHee....so I might need to make a movie date with a girlfriend or something b/c I think it's going to be like pulling teeth to get him there! :)

Oh yeah.....my project. :) This week, I FINALLY did a scrapbook page! I am so proud of myself! I'm not too crazy about the way it turned out, but since it's only my 5th page ever doing, I will give myself SOME credit. AND I used stamps from my FAVORITE stamp company in the whole world! Can you guess which one?!

So here it is. Like I said, I'm not too crazy about it. I think I did too much distressing, or I used too much Pacific Point ink. I should've used black or something...... The title reads, "I'll love you...4ever....." then the journaling says (on the side of the picture) ".....I"ll like you for always...." (on the right side top) "........as long as I'm living....." (right side bottom) "......my baby you'll be...."

Stamps Used: Unity Sept. KOM, Worn Grid Background
Ink: SU! Pacific Point, Copics
Paper: CTMH White Daisy, SU! Rainbow Sherbert DP, Pacific Point CS, Green Galore CS, Blush Blossom CS
Accessories: Cricut and Cartridges, Fabri-Tac, Dimensional Adhesives

Has anyone ever read that book? It's called "Love You Forever." It's a little kid's book, but it was one of my favorites when I was little. If you don't know what I'm talking about....the book talks about....here's a little excerpt:

"The baby grew. He grew and he grew and he grew. He grew until he was two years old, and he ran all around the house. He pulled all the books off the shelves. He pulled all the food out of the refrigerator and he took his mother's watch and flushed it down the toilet. Sometimes his mother would say, "this kid is driving me CRAZY!"

But at night time, when that two-year-old was quiet, she opened the door to his room, crawled across the floor, looked up over the side of his bed; and if he was really asleep she picked him up and rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. While she rocked him she sang:

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be."

Cute, huh? It goes on talking about how he grew and grew and she would go in his room and do the same thing. Then when he is grown, he comes home and she is old and sick and he rocks her and says, "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my MOMMY you'll be....." So that is where I got the idea from. My son is walking now and, as expected, getting into everything! So it really does explain a mother-son relationship. Especially since MOST BOYS are MAMA'S BOYS!

• BeLlA sKeTcH cHaLlEnGeS 54 & 55!

Happy Thursday everyone! And HIP-HOP to the Unity peeps! If you don't know what Unity or Hip-Hop is...go HERE

So today I have last week's Bella Sketch Challenge (#54) and this week's 55th sketch challenge!

The first one is #54. For this card I used Clover Meadow and Sunny Yellow CS. The image is Tinkerbella and is stamped on PTI Stamper's Select White and colored with Copics. The glitter on the wings is Martha Stewart.

My card for this week's sketch challenge is probably a favorite right now. I used Emmybella for the image and stamped her in Archival Black and colored her with Copics. She's stamped on PTI Stamper's Select White. The sentiment is from MFT's E-Girl set and is also stamped in Archival Black onto SSW. I used Pale Plum, Certainly Celery, and Pretty in Pink CS. The DP is Basic Grey Euphoria. The ribbon is from Pebbles Inc.

So that is all for right now. Stay tuned for some Hip Hop Unity Challenges!!!!

• This is what I get, for not posting all week! LONG POST!

So I did stamp this week, I was just too lazy to post it! So here goes!

Last week I did a week long of Unity on my blog. I made these cards also, but was going to post them on Friday....obviously that didn't happen! The first card is for Bella Sketch Challenge #54 and the other card is for Bella's Favorite Stamper Challenge #1. We had to CASE one of Vicki's (giffysk8) cards from her gallery!

So for this week: here is Bella Sketch Challenge #54 and some Papertrey Ink cards. I used Amber's sketch on the owl one. I just got these stamps in, so I was very excited to use them!

Which brings us to today.......this is my card for Hip Hop Hangover Friday! I did get to Hip Hop for just a few minutes last night and had total fun doing so! If you didn't get to Hip Hop yesterday, be sure and take a look at all the Unity DT goodies they have on their blogs! They did so amazing this week!

So that is all for this week! I am off to Big Piney, yet again......roping tonight! Will try to get pictures! Toodles!

• Growing in Unity, Day by Day, All Week Long: Day FOUR AND FIVE

Happy Friday! Hope everyone had a fabulous week!

Yesterday, I had a bad day and wasn't able to stamp, so I couldn't post anything! Sorry. I feel horrible for missing a day. Also, yesterday was HIP HOP! Did you go? I popped in and out a couple times, but I wasn't there nearly as much as I usually am, so I was pretty bummed.

So the hip hop challenges yesterday were to do a double ribbon card and a single layer card. I put both challenges into one card. Here it is!

So it's a pretty simple card, I know, but I think the ribbon actually did a lot for it. I used Unity's Just Be - Single and I stamped it in Archival Black ink and onto Cameo Coral CS. The ribbon is from Pebbles Inc. So that is it for that card. Pretty simple!

So here's my Day 5 and final card for my week-long Unity adventure and for HIP HOP HANGOVER FRIDAY!

For this card I used SCS's sketch and color challenge and combined them into one card! You likes? I loves! So the color challenge was to use Kiwi Kiss or Old Olive, Riding Hood Red, and Pretty in Pink. I used Old Olive and didn't have Pretty in Pink, so I used Pink Pirouette. The image is from Unity's Growing in Unity set. I love this bird! At first, I wasn't sure what I was going to do with the pretty little thing, but I think he worked out perfectly in the card! See the sentiment? I used that special for this day.

So that is that for all the Unity goodness! Next week be sure to check out and follow MARIA all week! She is an amazing crafter and I know she will have some good things in store for you!

So I'll be back in a couple of hours to announce WHO WILL WIN THE 12 COPICS! Also, I am going to be posting some of the other cards I've done this week. I wanted to keep each day solely for Unity stuff, so tonight I will post my other stuff! 3 POSTS IN ONE DAY?!?!?! Holy moley! :)

•Growing in Unity•Day by Day•All Week Long•Day Three

Day tres, baby, yeah! *said in Austin Powers lingo* :D It's my 3rd day of Unity all week long! I'm having such a great time with this! Here is the card I made for today!
This card is inspired by the Unity's Challenge Wednesday. The challenge is an inspiration challenge. Here's the inspiration.

So I didn't really follow anything, other than I was inspired to use a butterfly. Isn't it so prettiful? It's from Unity's Growing in Unity set. So basically I just ran Red Bazzill CS through my Divine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder, but only on the top and bottom. Then I stamped the butterfly and the decoration behind it, with Archival Black ink. Then I glued that part to black CS. I added some ribbon that I got from my Bella sistah, LeAnne, and voila! It's done! Oh! I used the scalloped edge punch on the sides, too!

A couple of other things......ARE YOU COMING TO HIP HOP, TOMORROW? Hip Hop, in case you don't know, is the biggest event of the week! It takes place in the Unity forum on SCS and starts at 10:00 a.m. Central Time and goes until MIDNIGHT! Unity gives away over $300 worth of prizes! It is such a blast! There's a blog hop that starts at Angela's blog at 10:00 a.m. and tons and tons of fun! PLUS, if you are a BRAND NEW customer and order $25 or more, tomorrow, you get a Growing in Unity Tree stamp! Here's an example of what the stamp looks like! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!?! Angela is amazing!

ETA: I forgot to tell you.....I GET TO GIVE AWAY A FREE SINGLE TOMORROW AT HIP HOP TO SOMEONE THAT HAS BEEN COMMENTING ON MY "GROWING IN UNITY" POSTS! BE SURE TO STOP BY TO SEE IF IT'S YOU!

Speaking of Angela and her blog.....be sure to check her blog out each week. She added an icon in the top left corner, showing the person that is showing Unity all week long on their blog.

So I hope everyone is having a GREAT Wednesday! Be sure to check back tomorrow for Day four and some HIP HOP creations.

**DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE COPIC GIVE AWAY! COMMENT ABOVE BY NOON (MDT) FRIDAY****

•Growing in Unity, Day by Day, All Week Long! Day Two

Happy Election Day! Did you vote, yet? I didn't! I left my wallet at my mom's house, with my i.d. tucked snugged inside and I haven't registered yet! UGH! I've been kicking myself all day long!

Onto more important things....today is Day 2 of my all week long Unity posting. Here's my card!
For this card I used Unity's Oct. KOM. Isn't this house so cozy looking? I used Amber's weekly sketch for the card. The base is Bamboo CS. I also used Orange CS and Clover Meadow. The image is stamped on PTI Stamper's Select White and colored with Copics. Speaking of Copics, have you entered to WIN 12 FREE COPICS? Do so in the post above although I'm sure you saw it before you did this one!

• Growing in Unity -day by day-ALL WEEK LONG! Day ONE!

So, for those of you that don't know, I started a sort of blog hop - I guess you can call it. Michelle challenged herself a couple weeks ago to post a Unity creation all week long. This gave me the idea to do it myself, but have other join in doing so. So I am starting this week and next week I will pass it on, to one of my Unity peeps and the next week they pass the torch to someone else, so on and so forth! Unity is going to be showcased on people's blogs, EVERYDAY, through March! Isn't that FANTASTIC! So here is my first day's card:

This card, I made for a special friend and Unity DT member, Amber. Amber had to have surgery on her ankle! This is for her!

For this card I used PTI Spring Moss CS and ribbon. The butterfly is from Unity's Sept. Kit of the Month. Did you know you can now get past KOMs? Check them out HERE. The sentiment is from October's KOM and is stamped in Spring Moss Palette Ink. The DP is also PTI. The butterfly is stamped in Archival Black onto Baby Pink CS. So there you have it! Stay tuned for another Unity card tomorrow. Also, on Thursday, during HIP HOP THURSDAY, I get to choose someone that has commented on my blog all week to receive a free single, of my choice. I'm not telling you which one, but let me just say, it's from Unity, therefore, you won't be disappointed! :) HAVE A GREAT MONDAY!

***DON'T FORGET TO ENTER TO WIN 12 FREE COPICS!***
